Field Operations

UAV Pilot

Calgary, AB (Hybrid)

UAV Pilots are responsible for field data collection and processing on a variety of applications using unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) and specialized sensors.

Requirements / Qualifications:

Pilot drones with specialized sensors for data collection missions - including cameras, LiDAR, and emissions sensors
Operate GNSS RTK receivers to establish ground control of site
Adhere to all company safety procedures and standards
Liaise with clients and represent Forward Geospatial in a professional manner
Frequent travel required outside of Calgary
Experience with photogrammetry and/or LiDAR processing tools and software (LAStools, ArcGIS Pro, DroneDeploy, Pix4D)
0-5 years' experience
Basic/Advanced Transport Canada RPAS License considered an asset
